About GearLoads
GearLoads is a truck dispatch desk for owner-operators and small fleets. We find, negotiate and plan the loads; you run the truck and make the calls.
Why we exist
Most dispatch services are built around dry vans. Carriers running a tanker, a car hauler, a hopper bottom, a cattle pot or a lowboy end up explaining their equipment to people who don't know it, and taking loads that don't fit. We built GearLoads around the opposite idea: every rig gets a dispatcher who knows what it hauls, what it needs and what the rules are for it.
That is also why we write specialty hauling guides and build free tools. The questions carriers ask us about placards, bridge formulas, livestock hours or chain laws deserve answers with real sources, so we publish them, dated and checked.
The desk
Our dispatch desk is open 24/7, nights and weekends. Trucks don't stop at five on a Friday, and neither does a load that needs rebooking on a Sunday night.
One promise holds on every load: we call you to confirm before anything is booked, the broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you, and you can turn down any load without a fee or a penalty.
Rigs we dispatch
We dispatch all of these equally, from a 26 ft box truck up. We don't dispatch cargo vans, sprinters or smaller box trucks.

Who writes our guides
Our hauling guides and tools are written and reviewed by Mike Shelton. Every rule links to its official source with the month it was checked. Read how we do it in our editorial policy.
